Living safely at home
20/06/2016 by Amy Gaskin-Williams
Feedback from and about people with memory problems highlights that service users want to live fuller lives at home, and carers want more help to keep vulnerable people safe in the community.
As a response, and as a good example of partnership working, Occupational Therapy services are working with the Fire Service and PART (Persons At Risk team) in Mansfield and Ashfield to develop a leaflet aimed at clients with memory difficulties on risk enablement approaches, to encourage good communication and planning between community services and service users allowing them to continue leading their life to the full, in safety.
