Responding to concerns about staffing levels

Staff have resonded innovatively to concerns about the time staff area able to spend with service users on Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) wards. They have:

  • Tasked a Band 3 healthcare assistant to act as an activities co-ordinator on the Child and Adolescent Mental Health  (CAMHS) inpatient unit
  • Brought an art therapist  onto the CAMHS inpatient unit
  • The directorate have created a peer support volunteer role on the CAMHS adolescent unit
